Round basins with conical bottom SDK CT are specialist tanks designed for fish farms, hatcheries and aquaculture systems where effective collection of impurities, easy outflow and controlled water conditions are important.
The conical bottom directs sediment, feed residues and other impurities to the lowest point of the tank. This makes the basin easier to operate, while cleaning and water discharge can be more organised. It is a practical solution wherever hygiene, stable operation and reduced manual sediment removal are important.
The basins are made of glass-reinforced polyester laminate and stainless steel elements. The construction is prepared for constant contact with water and can be adapted to a specific facility, outflow system and technological application.
Round basins with conical bottom for hatcheries and aquaculture
Round basins with conical bottom SDK CT are mainly used for fry rearing, plankton breeding used as feed for juvenile fish, and incubation of salmonid eggs. The conical bottom helps maintain better control over sediment and supports processes that require a clean water environment.
Conical basins can also be used as settling tanks and housings for biological beds in closed recirculating fish farming systems. In these applications, efficient impurity discharge and proper adaptation of the tank to the entire technological system are very important.

Conical bottom and controlled outflow
The most important feature of SDK CT basins is the conical bottom. In practice, this means that impurities do not remain evenly across the entire bottom of the tank, but are directed towards the lowest point. This makes flushing, water discharge and maintaining proper hygiene easier.
Depending on the application, the basins can be connected with a properly selected outflow. In larger projects, they can be combined with dedicated outflow systems, which help control water level, discharge and impurity removal.
If additional aeration or oxygen supply is required in the facility, the tanks can work with oxygen systems. For such applications, it is possible to use, among others, ceramic diffusers for aeration and oxygenation of water.
Choosing a conical basin for the application
The right basin depends on whether it will be used for fry rearing, plankton breeding, egg incubation, as a settling tank or as part of a closed recirculating fish farming system. Diameter, capacity, cone height, water inlet and outlet method, and available space in the facility are also important.
